A white light on the blind would indicate that it is ready for pairing for the next 2 minutes. A white light on the Signal Repeater will start blinking indicating that a pairing is initiated. "Finding your device" will also be displayed on the IKEA Home smart app.

Not everyone needs smart blinds, or smart bulbs for that matter. And lots of companies have plenty of innovative connected products that aim for wholesale reinvention in a way that Ikea does not. But for simplicity, cost, and thoughtfulness, Home Smart seems harder to beat than ever. Originally, all polyester was made from oil-based raw materials which are not renewable but we are switching to only using recycled polyester. The good thing is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without negatively affecting the quality of our products.

There are various ways to control the FYRTUR blind, from using just the remote contorl, to controlling via iOS or Android devices, or even via voice command. If the blinds are working perfectly in the app then that implies that the blinds are not the issue. I keep trying to reset it hoping it will magically start working again. The blackout aspect is great though- Super dark. That may sound like a small annoyance, but they key to making the smart home work is to eliminate all inconveniences, or at least make sure that the benefits so strongly outweigh them that no one minds. By keeping it simple, and building slowly, Ikea can grab more and more territory in a smart home land grab that’s still fairly wide open. The blinds will work with all three voice assistants from day one.
